The machines below are the production equipment used to build our transfer machines and heat presses. They are the reason we can machine our own drums to tolerance rather than buying them in.
Machining
- Lathe workshop – steel drums turned and polished to a fine tolerance, so heat and pressure are even across the full working width.
- CNC machining centre – frames, brackets and drive components cut and finished to drawing.
- Abrasive workshop – surface preparation and finishing of drums and machine frames.
Assembly and inspection
- Assembly bays – oil circuit, drum, blanket and drive assembled and aligned.
- Electrical inspection room – control panels assembled and tested, with safety interlocks checked.
- Testing – each machine run at temperature and pressure with actual transfer paper before packing.
Research and development
Design and development are kept in-house. Our engineers work on the heated drum, oil circulation, pressure control and machine control systems – the parts that decide how even the colour is and how reliably the machine runs. Keeping R&D in-house is also what allows us to build custom machines to a customer's own specification.
